Big claims about money travel fast. The dollar is collapsing. Gold is about to explode. A global reset is coming. A war was scripted. Some of these have something real behind them. Many don’t. Most people never find out which, because checking takes time nobody has.

Finformed exists to do that checking, in the open.

I’m Ja’Van Edwards. I’ve spent more than 15 years in finance: banking at HSBC, HMRC, property and construction, and running my own operations and finance business. I’ve seen how numbers get made, reported and spun. Now I write about money, markets and power, and I trade a small account of my own.

**What you’ll get**

**Finformed Daily**, every weekday morning by 7am. Five minutes: the one thing that matters today, three numbers with their sources, a claim of the day with its verdict, and what to watch.

**The Weekly**, every Thursday. A big claim people are actually making, tested properly against the original evidence (official data, documents, legislation, filings) and given a verdict. Some run as series over several weeks.

Finformed covers three areas:

- **Macro and markets.** The dollar, debt, rates, gold and oil.
- **Power, geopolitics and technology.** Wars, sanctions, AI and the institutions behind them.
- **Faith, business and life.** Money and work seen through faith. Proverbs to price charts.

**How I check a claim**

1. Pin down exactly what is being claimed, with dates.
2. Find the original evidence, not someone’s summary of it.
3. Cross-check it against an independent source.
4. Separate fact from interpretation and prediction.
5. Look for the strongest argument against my own conclusion.
6. Give a verdict, and say plainly what we still don’t know.

**The verdicts**

Supported · Partly supported · Misleading · Unsupported · False · Unverified

Unverified doesn’t mean false. And a claim nobody has disproved isn’t automatically true.

**My promises**

- Every number has a source you can check.
- If I get something wrong, I correct it at the top of the piece, with the date.
- I never post trade calls, and nothing here is financial advice.
- No hype, and no paywall on the Daily or the Weekly.

**First up**

Finformed Daily starts on Monday 9 November. The Weekly starts on Thursday 12 November with *What the data shows about the dollar’s share of world reserves, and what it doesn’t*, the first of three parts on the dollar system.

Subscribe and choose the Daily, the Weekly, or both. If there’s a claim you’d like checked, reply to any email or find me on X at @javanedwardsuk.
